Positive Imaginings is an exciting and ground-breaking outdoor show, co-created by professional theatre makers, environmental educators and children to address the climate emergency for a young audience in an informative, meaningful, and positive way.

Positive Imaginings uses circus & theatre to connect children with the natural world; to spark joy, a sense of magic and wonder; to empower and give a voice to children from diverse backgrounds in areas of multiple deprivation in Scotland. Through a series of play-based outdoor workshops we will give these children the space, time and support to imagine a positive future in the face of climate change. Humans have the unique gift to imagine, vision and create. Our imagination informs our actions. The children’s imaginings will then form the basis for the show’s development. Performances will take place in playgrounds and greenspaces, connecting people with their local environment and creating a stepping-stone towards taking the action needed to address the climate and nature emergency. Positive Imaginings will address these critical environmental issues with a sense of positivity and resilience. We want to ask children about the future they want to see and we want to listen.
