A Mass-participation art installation for COP26
Moths to a Flame
Help us make 20,000 moths and record messages for the Moths to a Flame installation at COP26.
Moths to a Flame is a mass participation art installation engaging thousands of people in creative activity and conversation inspired by our energy systems, relationship with nature, and the climate emergency.
We hope to make 20,000 moths to display a Glasgow’s botanic gardens during COP26 and also to record over 10,000 messages.
Using the moth as a metaphor for our relationship with energy, we invite you to;
Think about energy and its possibilities
Explore the natural world and observe real moths near you
Create simple hand-crafted and digital moths to join the exhibition
Record your climate hopes for the future and
Send a message to World Leaders at COP26.
All of the moths and messages will become impactful physical and digital artworks that carry hope in flight from Plymouth to Glasgow for COP26. They will be displayed at The Kibble Palace in the Botanic gardens in Glasgow, and come home to RIO’s new 360 Dome in Devonport, Plymouth , where we can enjoy them too.
From May to November 2021, we are able to offer FREE and COVID-SAFE CREATIVE experiences.
