Take Part in Season for Change
Season for Change invites artists and cultural organisations to host events, artworks and actions across the UK to celebrate the environment and inspire urgent action on climate change from February – May 2021.
We intend to working with 250+ artists and cultural organisations in 2021 to celebrate the ways that the creative climate leadership of the UK cultural sector in the run up to COP26 in Glasgow in November 2021, the UN’s climate change conference.
Your Season for Change activity can take place anywhere – in arts venues, on streets, in schools, at festivals, on beaches, in libraries or museums and across broadcast, film, fashion and music. We invite you to use culture to speak out, champion change, showcase sustainable practice and inspire action by:
- Programming an event
- Commissioning new work
- Organising a debate
- Curating an exhibition
- Providing space for spontaneous performances
- Hosting an open call
- Making art, theatre, music, film
- Turning your work inside out and show what you’re doing behind the scenes
- Putting climate change centre stage
Join the campaign
If you’ve started taking climate action in your arts/cultural practice in some of the ways suggested, you’re ready to join Season for Change.
This includes registering your events with us (which we will promote through our website, social media, PR partners and networks), and using our crediting and logo guide to signal that you’re part of a sector-wide movement that has a shared vision for change.
